Summer is here and one thing that always screams summer for me is lemonade. Freshly squeezed lemonade made from scratch is always a huge hit when served icy cold but you can’t go wrong with other lemonade flavored edibles! I decided with June just days away a lemonade themed post was a necessity so let’s start off with one of my favorite recipes for freshly squeezed homemade lemonade from scratch.

Fresh Squeezed Lemonade
Makes 2 quarts

  • 1.5 cups of freshly squeezed lemon juice (Usually about about 4 lemons!)
  • 7 cups of ice cold water
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar

Mix all of the ingredients above and you will create the icy cold lemony delight that quenches any summer thirst. Whenever I go to a summer fair or carnival I am always looking for the freshly squeezed lemonade stand. With this recipe you can make this copycat fair lemonade recipe above much more affordably (and have more than one glassful!).

Not really in the mood for making some lemonade? Maybe you’d be interested in some tasty lemonade flavored goodies I found on etsy! <3

Eats for Sale! No Comments »

(Note – Since this was posted foodzie no longer allows the public to list their eats so I have updated where to find these delicious treats below!)

This year’s Indianapolis Colts vs. New Orleans Saints Super Bowl is just days away..and what am I thinking about? The super bowl party snacks of course! Super Bowl Sunday is a day I look forward to for three reasons – the game, the commercials..and the food! (Probably not in that order..heehee!)

I found a neat food site recently that allows food artisans to sell the yummy edibles they have created to the public called foodzie. I couldn’t help but share some of the delicious looking snacks and eats I found there that would make your super bowl party extra delicious!

1. Who’s Your Daddy Bacon Potato Chips – $25 for 5 3.5 oz Bags on Foodzie.com Can now be found on Twitter at BaconPotatoChip

These hand-fried ridge cut chips look so yummy! Covered in what they describe “extra-bacony” goodness.. I know if I saw these in a bowl at a party I could not resist (diet or no diet!).

2. Big Orson’s Mango-Habanero Salsa – $6.99 for 1 jar on foodzie.com   Now found on their own website, BigOrson.com

We’ve got the bacon potato chips..but we also need tortilla chips and salsa! Mango habanero salsa from Big Orson’s features 4 jars with varying degrees of “sweet heat”…so everyone at your party will have a salsa they’ll love! These fruit salsas sound deliciously unique. Their official website even recommends trying some poured on a package of softened cream cheese with crackers. I’d like to try it both ways! Yum.

3. Embrace Sweet’s 12 Assorted Brownies & Cookies – $32.90 on foodzie.com Now available on their own site, EmbraceSweets.com

Once everyone’s had their share of salty and savory they’re probably going to want something to satisfy their sweet tooth. That’s why I also picked Embrace Sweet’s Brownie and Cookie Assortment. There’s something for everyone at the party in this tasty chocoholics dream! They include their famous chocolate chip cookies along with twelve different brownies – Caramel Pecan, Triple Chocolate Chunk, Toffee Almond Crunch, Chocolate Raspberry, Chocolate Mint, Banana Rama and more! I don’t know if I’ve ever seen so many different kinds of decadent gourmet brownies in one assortment! Om nom nom.

Those are my super bowl finds on foodzie…I can’t wait for the game (FOOD) on Sunday! 😀
